About Reif Winery
Reif Estate winery is the family
owned winery that produces grapes on more than 130
acres of vineyards and has
over 25 successful years in Niagara wine producing.There are lots of experience and knowledge in Reif wine-making tradition.

Reif family wine business started few hundred years ago in German town of Neustadt in the Rhine River Valley.
In 1977 Ewald Reif came to Niagara region, from Germany and purchased a plot of fertile land where he planted a vineyard. After carefully nurturing the land for 6 years, The Reif Estate winery opened the door in 1983. Present owner is Klaus Reif, the 13th generation of this winemaking family.
Today many wines produced at Reif Estate Winery are worldwide respected, VQA standardized, and winners of many international awards.
Things to Do at Reif Winery and on the Tour
Winery tour doesn't require the reservation, but it is recommended, and usually cost $5 for one hour detailed tour, by friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is an amazing experience where you can see the vineyard, the vats, bottling and barrels.
Wine tasting at Reif Estate Winery
Wine boutique and the main tasting room with a large bar is beautiful and the place where you can buy and taste your favorite VQA Reif wine, including Cabernet Merlot, Riesling and Icewine. Tasting bar is open daily with a good selection of wines available for sampling.
There is also a Sensory Wine Bar where you can find several tours with popular wines to taste while pairing with a local cheese, for a fee from $10 to $20:

New Wine and Herb Experience features tour with consuming five estate Niagara wines paired with local herbs and the opportunity to learn how to match food and wine.
Exploring Wine Sensory Garden with four sections that are featuring plantings like coriander, honeysuckle, mint, lemon verbena, rosemary and other is such an amazing experience and event for your senses.
These plantings are representative of the flavors, colors and aromas used to produce Niagara wines. We recommend strolling through the garden at your leisure or simply sit on a garden bench and enjoy a glass of wine and the view:
- Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc Garden is represented by light foliage and flowers with grapefruit and lime scented plants.
- Icewine and Chardonnay Garden is represented with the yellow and golden plantings, peach and vanilla aroma.
- Gamay and Pinot Noir Garden showcases the pink plantings and gentle flower scents, including lavender and rose scented geraniums.
- Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot features the deeply red foliage and flowers with the oregano and thyme aromas.
