Falls tours from Toronto
Niagara
Falls trips for visitors staying in Toronto
There are many Niagara Falls tours from Toronto available,
organized by bus, mini-bus, or limo but the best are, per our opinion,
if doing it by yourself, in your car, or rent a car.
We suggest you to take a tour and visit both cities only if you have enough time to
explore both Toronto and Niagara attractions and the city, which
usually depends on the things you want to do or places to see.
There are many rent-a-car services in Toronto and it is well worth it
to spend some extra money for rental, just to have enough freedom to
truly explore the Niagara region.
If you decide not to, you will likely end up at a disadvantage without
your own car to cruise around in. And you will miss so much.
Niagara Falls tours from Toronto by car Hour and a half and 130 km long Toronto Niagara scenic drive is in
front of you. Driving to Niagara along the QEW on three lanes highway
is pretty easy, unless you run into the rush hour traffic (avoid driving between 7 and 10am and between 3 and 6pm).
Niagara Toronto trip doesn't have to be a plain highway drive. On one
side you will see a deep blue water of Lake Ontario, and on the other
side you will enjoy the view of the Niagara Escarpment (industry is excluded).
Along the way, you can always visit vineyards and wineries in Grimsby /
Beamsville and Jordan / Vineland area; stop by in St. Catherine's, Port
Dalhousie, Niagara on the Lake or continue toward Niagara Falls.
Convenient Niagara Falls tours from Toronto - Bus and Train Tours If you don't like driving, organized bus tours to Niagara Falls from
Toronto are also available. You can find many group tours, usually bus
tours, one and up to three days tours as well. More expensive trip is by
train, first-class motor coach or by limo.
Niagara Falls tours from Toronto, by bus, are available from the main
bus terminal at Bay Street, near Eaton Centre, with daily departures by
Greyhound Bus.
You can also enjoy your day trip to Niagara with
luxurious motor coach provided by Grayline Toronto bus.
Niagara Falls tours from Toronto, by train, are available, from Union
Station, located in Toronto downtown. It is a self guided tour, where
VIA Rail offers transportation to Niagara Falls. The train will drop
you off only few blocks from Clifton Hill, near the Whirlpool Bridge.
The Toronto-Niagara Falls train also goes through Oakville, Aldershot,
Grimsby and St. Catharines.
In either direction Niagara Toronto or Toronto Niagara, you have two
departures per day to choose from, one in the morning and one in the
late afternoon.
The train that leaves Toronto in the morning continues on to the US,
traveling through Buffalo to New York. On the way back, it leaves New
York in the morning and arrives in Niagara Falls in late afternoon and
in Toronto in the early evening.
Off these two tours to Niagara Falls from Toronto, we vote for buses,
since the train is more expensive, less frequent and convenient.
Niagara Falls tours from Toronto are also available through many
tourist agencies that can be very convenient for you.
Through organized day tours, travel agency will offer bus or shuttle
pick up and return to any of the Toronto hotels. The one day tour will
include visits and the admission to Niagara attraction (mainly Maid of
the Mist tour and Journey behind the Falls), winery tour, Niagara on
the Lake town tour and a few hours free time to explore the region on
your own.
If planning to stay longer, like 3 or 4 days tours, Niagara Falls tours
from Toronto offers you the best of Niagara, where you will stay in one
of the high class hotels, like Sheraton Hotel and have the opportunity
to experience romantic dining in one of the classy Fallsview
restaurants.
