Best
Romantic and Family Niagara Falls Dining
Keg, Watermark and
Skylon Restaurant Guide
One is for sure. With over five hundred Niagara Falls restaurants available to
you, you are confused where to eat, where to find romantic and family eateries, fast food stands, pizzerias or steakhouses.
Just scan the horizon when visiting Clifton Hill, and you will see
familiar logos of chain restaurants, fast food places, cafeterias and numerous
dining options everywhere.
Majority of the restaurants in Niagara Falls are concentrated on a walking
distance from Horseshoe Falls, along with the best Niagara attractions
and great luxury hotels.
So question is where to eat?
There are so many ethnic, international, and local great and tasty
cuisines, from the popular chain to
family owned, casual, romantic and family dining spots.
In
the middle of the tourist area, Clifton
Hill and Lundy’s Lane there
are dozens of fast food restaurants, theme restaurants with
casual and
family ambiance. And they are tempted. And they are the world known.
It appears that almost every North-American fast food franchise
restaurant is in or around Niagara Falls; Mcdonald's, Burger King,
Boston Pizza, Capri....
Resist
the urge for a quick bite,
even if you are hungry. A cozy restaurant with a great meal and
unforgettable experience is probably steps away. So be
prepared. One of
life's greatest pleasures, dining out, in the place near Niagara Falls,
has to
be something special.
Our
suggestion is to plan ahead, be familiar
with a Niagara Falls tourist guide and reviews, or ask at the
reception of
your hotel and find the restaurant that meets your needs and
desires.
If you book one of many vacation packages,
almost every package has a dining option in one of the hotel's
restaurants. If your getaway is booked through the luxury
hotel,
like Embassy or Hilton, a Fallsview restaurant is what is
waiting
for you.
Niagara Falls Restaurants Guide
If you are coming
with a family and small kids, it is understandable that you don't have time to look
around and check all the restaurants in Niagara Falls.
Such
a world known place, Niagara Falls, is home to many of
the world's famous chain restaurants, like Planet
Hollywood, Rainforest
Cafe, HardRock Cafe, Beef Baron, TGI Fridays, The KEG
restaurant...
Majority
of these dining spots are meant to be casual or
family
Niagara Falls restaurants. They are conveniently located less than 20
min.
from the waterfalls.
For
us, Rainforest
Cafe
is always a nice place to visit. As it offers lots of fun in
its jungle set up, the wild atmosphere and decent food it is really
amusing
for kids.
There
is one group of Niagara Falls restaurants that deserves special
attention, where you can leisurely enjoy your dinner by
candlelight while
marvel at the rainbow colors of the illuminated Niagara Falls at night.
Some
of these restaurants are located high above the ground like Skylon
restaurant in Skylon Tower or the restaurant in
Minolta Tower, and in the luxury hotels like Hilton's
Watermark,
Marriott's
Terrapin Grille, Embassy's
KEG;
all of them overlooking Niagara Falls.
Incredible view is guaranteed there, this is why they are called Fallsview restaurants, dining experience is something to
remember and food... well, you have to try.
There are also many excellent restaurants in Niagara's wine country and
in
beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake town. It is great having a lunch in a
shady terrace, with lush vineyards spread out around you.
The atmosphere, ambiance and sight define these restaurants as romantic
Niagara Falls dining spots.
Tip.
How to enhance romance in your Niagara Falls dining event?
Try to catch the evening when the Fireworks is scheduled. The rainbow
colored sky gives a
flair and charm to these special moments.
Dining Tip:
Niagara
region is famous for its wine,
especially famous Niagara "Icewine".
Icewine is
officially classed as a dessert wine. Icewine is a truly
sensational experience for the palate. If you like wines, you won't
make
a mistake ordering one.
For exceptional value try late
harvest
wine.
Casual
Niagara Falls restaurants are places where ambiance is
friendly
and relaxed, and if you don't want to dress up, here you go.
Casual restaurants are especially good during the day, for lunch, after
the long walk and visiting various attractions.
Wherever you go, dinning out doesn't have to be expensive. But, take
into account that meals are subject to 14% sales tax.
Tipping is left to your discretion.
During
the high season, from May until October, opening hours are longer, but
during the winter time some restaurants will close one or more days a
week. To avoid disappointment call ahead.
