Winter is known for Festival of Lights and New Year's Fireworks.
Summer has Music Festival ... and for spring and the fall; Ball's Falls

Popular Niagara Falls Events
We have made a list of popular and less-known festivals and Niagara
Falls events,

Ball's Falls
annual Thanksgiving festival
runs in October and it is featuring over 100 artisans. With daily
entertainment, heritage demonstrations, children activities and
majestic scenery, this event is great for the whole day family fun.
Biketoberfest
takes place in the mid of September in Fenwick and Niagara Falls. This
is a motorcycle event with dozens of Harley Davidson and fun like Bike
Raffle, Flag Run, Show and Shine and live music.
Echoes of Niagara's past
is the event where you can learn and experience Niagara's military
heritage 200 years ago with the military vehicles,
weapons, musket and artillery demonstration, tactical
displays and restored
historical buildings.
At Fort George and Fife and Drum Corps.
Muster & Soldiers' event you can see where the historic marital
corps of music and soldiers from Canadian and American historic sites
display their ancient skills.
The Canal
Days Festival
over four days of festival brings over 300,000 visitors every year to
celebrate marine heritage in Port Colborne city. The occurrence
showcases
tall ships, cruises, concerts, the largest outdoor classic car and kite
show and more.
When: July/August
From beginning of May to end of June, there is an event in
Niagara-on-the-Lake called Lanternlit
Ghost Walk.
This is 90 min. tour through the Old Town. Led by an experienced actor
you can stroll back through the history and hear tales of haunted
houses, bars, inns.
Fort Erie
Celtic Festival takes place in Fort Erie in July and
featuring
music, Celtic bands, demonstrations, ethnic food and other activities.
Friendship Festival is binational festival with many artisans, artists,
concerts, midway, heritage art and performers.
Lincoln
County Fair
is the Niagara's finest agricultural event with different exhibits and
demonstrations, midway, family events shows and demolition derby. You
will be able to see heavy horse, sheep, goat and cattle show, milking
demonstration, stop by and play at the mad science interactive fun
stations, see antique tractor
and garden tractor pull and much more.
When: Early September at Town of
Lincoln.
Music Niagara
is one of Niagara Falls events that feature amazing music and over 30
concerts in diverse Niagara setting. Ranging from classical to jazz,
choral, cabaret, dance and opera, these musical events are held in
unique and unrivaled settings; jazz under the stars, classical music in
the vineyards, chamber works in historic churches.
The best of Niagara Falls events,
New Year's Eve
features spectacular fireworks over the Falls and with free New Year’s
concert in Queen Victoria Park provides the great musical entertainment
for
approximately 30 000 guests.
Niagara
Falls Comedy Fest
is the event that brings lots of fun and laughs. The
Greg
Frewin Theatre and The Niagara Centre for the Arts are the hosts for
comedy performers. Some of the high scale hotels have also put together
packages
for the nights of the Comedy Fest.
When: End of November
Niagara Food
Festival
usually called “Peninsula’s Tastiest Party” and premiere family event
takes place in historic downtown Welland. This is Niagara's
biggest
festival of food, an annual showcase that brings together local
growers, producers, restaurateurs, chefs, wineries, and entertainers.
Finest food and drinks are represented by many food vendors and over 40
Niagara wineries.
When: Beginning of October
Named as one of North America's top 100 events by the ABA, Niagara Wine Festival
features more than 100 events, including winery tours and
tasting,
wine seminars, Niagara cuisine, concerts, artisan shows, live
entertainment and street parade.
When: End of September
Niagara
Icewine Festival
takes place in January and lasts for ten days, when Niagara
region celebrates one of Canada's most popular wines, Ontario
Jewel, Icewine. This event is a great time for chestnut roasts, ornate ice bars and
winery tours.
PoultryFest
Niagara
is one-day Niagara event that takes place in Smithville, Ontario,
located just 15 minutes away from famous waterfalls. The festival
features poultry show, family entertainment, busker-style
entertainment, car shows, live music, tractor pull, marketplace and
poultry food court.
When: End of June
Shaw
Festival
is one of the greatest Niagara
Falls events and festivals and theatre
is among the world's finest theatres.
Shaw Festival is the celebration
of plays by Bernard Show and his contemporaries.
When: from April till November
Shaw Theater
Willowbank
Jazz Festival is held at The School of Restoration Arts at
Willowbank, Queenston.
When: June
Winter
Festival Candle Light Stroll is part of popular Niagara's
Festival of Light that is scheduled in December every year. With the
candles lit you will stroll along Queen Street in the old downtown of
Niagara Falls, or enjoy romantic horse and carriage ride around the
block. Special magic comes listening carolers dressed
in old-fashioned Victorian costumes, barbershop quartets, bell ringers,
story tellers and choirs.
Winter
Festival of Lights and Fireworks Over the Falls are "must to
attend" Niagara Falls events, an annual festival that runs from early
November to early January. With more than 3 million sparkling lights
and over 100 animated displays, this spectacular illuminated event
draws more than a million people. It is among Top 100 festivals in
North America.
Special moments are when the Fireworks explode and illuminate the
winter sky above the glorious waterfalls.
