Niagara Falls Aviary or Bird Kingdom is a place that every animal lover and kid must visit. This bird zoo or aviary is one of the largest indoor aviaries in the world, right here in Niagara, with over 45,000 sq. ft. (4,200 m2).
Aviary in Niagara Falls is within walking distance of the Horseshoe Falls, Canadian side, upriver on River Road, alongside the Niagara Gorge.

Bird Kingdom is home for over 300 bird species from all over the world; Australia, Africa, Asia and South America, where some of these exotic birds are extremely rare.
The Bird Kingdom is also known as the three times winner, as the Niagara Falls attraction of the year.
Niagara Falls Aviary is nicely set up, with a
lot of natural light,
thanks to the glassed roof, decent indoor temperature and humidity. The main atrium is truly a sight with a 6-story (40 ft) waterfall, giant palm trees, rippling streams and colorful birds everywhere.
You and your family will have a great experience, seeing all these free flying birds in unbelievable colors, reptiles and bats, where you can walk around, get very close to them and even pet them and participate in an interactive feedings and bird shows.
Most of the animal exhibit is a hands on experience, where you can get in touch and hold a variety of exotic animals, from 125 pound Burmese pythons to scorpions.
There are several interesting sections at Niagara Falls aviary:
Small Aviary
There are over 40 bird species here; some of them are rare species and some endangered. Many of these birds in glittering colors are so small that you can hold several birds in one hand.
Nocturnal section
This section is a home of some rainforest, spooky creatures of the night, bats and owls.
Main Aviary
In this area there are over 35 species of exotic colorful birds from all over the world. And not only that... you will be able to explore a 125 year old, hand carved teak Nobleman's house from the Island of Java.
Reptile Encounter Zone is where you can be in touch with exotic reptiles from around the world like; lizards, snakes, tortoises, spiders, scorpions...
For the end, Java Hut is the perfect place for a mid-afternoon exotic coffee, tea, iced drinks and snack, while enjoying in a cozy and soothing setting.
