Niagara Falls Airport

Using Niagara Falls airport is your best choice when visiting amazing Niagara, as long as there is a scheduled flight. The Niagara Falls International Airport is an attractive alternative to currently congested surrounding North American International airports.

The Niagara Falls International Airport advantages are its proximity to the Canada/USA border, Niagara waterfalls and numerous attractions and its connection with the major highways.

At this time Niagara airport primarily handles general aviation and military aircraft. The airport is located four miles (6 km) east of the central business district of Niagara Falls NY and this is your shortest way to both American and Canadian Niagara.

When visiting Niagara Falls, you have a choice to land in Canada or US. In less than 2 h from Niagara Falls, there are few airports, you can use for your Niagara Falls flights.

Niagara Falls Airport (IAG is the airport code) is for charter and cargo planes only, and is not frequently used. This is why it might be better to use Buffalo Niagara International Airport for all Niagara Falls flights. And don't worry if coming from overseas and cannot find a direct flight...

... you can always make connections to Buffalo Airport (BUF is the airport code), from several major US cities, like: Detroit, Chicago, New York, Atlanta and Boston.

Air carriers flying from/to Buffalo airport:
  • AirTran
  • American
  • Continental
  • DeltaAirLines
  • JetBlue
  • NWA
  • Prior Aviation
  • Southwest Airlines
  • United Airlines
  • US Airways

If you are flying to Canada and for all international flights to Niagara Falls, we suggest you to use Toronto Pearson Airport, or Hamilton Airport.

Canada's only national airline, Air Canada, operates direct flights to Toronto International Airport (YYZ), from all over the world. Toronto Pearson Airport is around 2 h drive from Niagara Falls. Add 30 min. if coming during the peak weekday time.

Hamilton International Airport (YHM) is much smaller, only 45 min. away from Niagara Falls, and you can use it if flying from/to some US and Canadian cities.

Hamilton airport airlines and tour operators are:
  • WestJet
  • FlyGlobeSpan
  • Transat Holidays
Either you are using Niagara Falls airport or one of the above listed international airports, and planning to visit Niagara Falls and surrounding, you can use following ground transportation:
  • Rental Cars
  • Limousines
  • Buses
  • Shuttles, Vans and Taxis
  • Public transportation
