Going to the Falls - make it Great Wolf Lodge

by Anonymous
(Barrie, Canada)

Last year, my wife and two children (ages 4 and 2) visited Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls. There are 11 Great Wolf Lodges located in North America, with the one in Niagara Falls being the only one in Canada. My wife and I live in Barrie, which is an approximate 2 hour drive from the Falls, but it couldn't have been more worth it, with the four of us planning to go again this Fall.

Great Wolf Lodge has a 70,000 square foot water park, with hotel rooms located inside the complex, along with three restaurants, an arcade, mini putt, a spa for children (my daughter loved it) and a bar for adults.

Great Wolf Lodge is impeccably clean (you could eat off the floor), and the staff and service is incredible. They have thought of everything for kids, including at 8:00 every night, where a talking moose, bear, racoon and deer read a bed time story to your kids (about 200 kids listen to the story in their pajamas, and I am telling you, nothing is cuter).

The rooms are a wonderful size, with your "average" room consisting of two queen size beds, a pullout coach, and a seperate area to watch television from where the beds are located. New release films are also available to watch (cost you $15, but going to the movies will cost more).

For the four of us, we received an all-inclusive package, which included the room for two nights, waterpark passes for four for three days and all you can eat breakfast and dinner (with lunches at pizza hut which consisted of one small pizza per person) for $600 ($300 a day). It may seem like a lot, but I am telling you, if you can afford it, do it. Your kids will thank you for it.
