Casa Loma Toronto Attractions

Casa Loma is one of the most romantic Toronto attractions and a perfect place for weddings

Casa Loma Toronto is among the most visited Toronto attractions and along with CN tower the most recognized city landmark. This medieval style castle is a combination of one man's dream and 17th century style castle.

Located on the hill, the castle is great for visits in the relaxed afternoon offering you an attractive view of Toronto panorama.

Casa Loma gives Toronto charm, romance and a unique opportunity for weddings.

Visiting Casa Loma Toronto

The castle was built somewhere between 1911 and 1914, thanks to Sir Henry Pellatt. It has everything that castle has, like stately towers, tunnels, stables, 1700-bottle wine cellar, gorges gardens and secret passageways.

casa loma torontoTours are available, and you can see 98 richly decorated rooms, and five acre estate with lovely gardens, offering dazzling colors, fountains and sculptures. You can do the tours in an hour, but our suggestion is to take your time and spend at least 2-3 hours.

To visit a top floor of Casa Loma Toronto, there is a tiny, spindly staircase that will take your there. You have to plan your ascent and descent as there is only room for one person, but at the top you have some great views of downtown Toronto and high raised structure of CN Tower.

When visiting Casa Loma, don't forget to look for a map (this is your first stop when exploring any of the Ontario attractions), so you can navigate easily:

The main floor of Casa Loma Toronto

  • The Great Hall is the central room of the castle
  • The Library
  • The Conservatory
  • The Servery
  • Sir Henry's Study
  • The Oak Room
  • The Billiards Room

As you will see, this is a fascinating place to explore. The furnishing and building material has been collected from all over the world; glass, marbles, teak, oak... even stonemasons were imported from Scotland.
