First wedding anniversary trip to Niagara Fallsby Susan
(from USA) On my first wedding anniversary, my husband and I decided to take a trip to Niagara Falls. The trip was sensational! We began our first full day by taking a tour of the area. Walking up an down the main street, we saw restaurants and shops. We walked a little further and were mesmerized by the sight of the falls. The water seemed endless as it gushed down. I watched as blue hooded people lined up to board the Maid of the Mist. The boat passed leisurely under the falls and a scream went up from the crowded deck. All round us people posed for pictures and marveled at how powerful the falls were. We took some tourist pictures and strolled up to the local shops. We walked to Ripley's Believe it or Not and cringed at some of the displays. I opted for a wax hand as a souvenir, dipping my hand into the pool of wax. Our evening was topped off by a dinner at our hotel. The following day was spent at the casino. We gambled and enjoyed games of chance until dinner. The locals we met gave us tips on the best local eateries. After a little discussion we opted for the Skylon Tower. The view was breathtaking ! The revolving diningroom took some getting used to , but was well worth the odd feeling. The observation deck allowed a full view of the Falls and we were able to see the full beauty the Falls offered. Standing there looking down on the stunning view of the city was one of the best moments we've experienced. Return from First wedding
